Born in the North West of the United States, Anne Corbière studied literature in Seattle and Montpellier before entering costume design workshops in San Francisco, London and Paris. These experiences are the beginning of a deep relationship between designer, textile and colour. This includes projects such as Peter Brook’s production of Mahabharata and numerous opera and theatre creations with Christian Lacroix.
After many years of putting her expertise at the service of haute couture, she is now pursuing her career in decoration and interior design. Furthermore, Anne Corbière founded the association l’Atelier du Haut Anjou, which is dedicated to transmitting textile creation techniques through training.
For the TRICOLOR project, presented at the Made in France Première Vision 2019 exhibition, she created plaids from French sheep’s wool panels.
