When the Heart of Lingerie Beats to the Rhythm of Textile Know-How

Dive into the heart of French lingerie textile excellence with Made in Town at Salon Interfilière. This prestigious event highlights the exceptional work of three emblematic companies: Bugis, Maison Lévêque and Sophie Hallette. From July 2 to 4, 2023, visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with these exceptional crafts, which perpetuate age-old traditions.

The centerpiece of this immersion will be the 360° projection in the Jam Capsule of the groundbreaking short film “Au Cœur des Métiers”, directed by Pascal Gautrand and Cédric Balaguier, at the initiative of the Salon Interfilière, revealing the intimacy of workshops and passionate craftsmen. For 7 minutes 30, viewers are transported on a visual and emotional journey, discovering the precise gestures, artisanal techniques and sumptuous materials used to create these exceptional lingerie textiles.

The experience continues with the installation of a Bugis circular knitting machine, where visitors can admire first-hand the making of elastic, comfortable textiles perfect for homewear. This live demonstration allows visitors to appreciate the mastery of gestures and technical precision for which Bugis is renowned.

In addition, a round-table discussion moderated by Pascal Gautrand, founder of Made in Town, will bring together key players in the lingerie industry. Bruno Nahan, CEO of Bugis, Franck Lévêque, Director of Maison Lévêque, Romain Lescroart, President of Sophie Hallette, and Dominique Berson, Purchasing Director for Groupe Chantelle, will share their knowledge and passion for textile know-how. This enriching discussion will address current issues in the lingerie industry and highlight the efforts being made to preserve these artisanal traditions.
